I ordered a couple of books from Books-A-Million after checking their site to make sure they were actually in stock, i was half expecting something to go wrong.

But the inventory was accurate, both books were available, and I didn’t get one of those annoying cancellation emails saying they couldn’t fulfill the order after all. They shipped quickly too, which was a nice surprise.

I got exactly what I ordered without any hassle, and I do appreciate that. That said, with how rare smooth online orders feel these days, I wouldn’t mind a little coupon or credit for coming back next time.

"A Little Tracking Mystery, But It Arrived"
I placed my order and everything seemed fine at first, but then I kept checking the tracking and it barely changed. For a few days, I had no idea if it was close by or still somewhere in transit. I was kind of doing that thing where you check the porch just in case, even though the tracking still looked the same. Eventually, it showed up in good condition, so no real issue there. It just would’ve been nicer to have clearer updates along the way. Overall, not a bad experience, just kind of okay.

"Canceling took more effort than I expected"
I had to poke around for a while before I could figure out how to cancel my membership. It eventually got taken care of, but it definitely wasn’t as quick or straightforward as I was hoping. Customer service was fine, though from the tone I kind of got the feeling this is something they deal with a lot. I just wish the online cancellation process was easier to find and simpler to complete.

"Easy enough to use while I was killing time"
I was on my phone browsing booksamillion.com while sitting around with a cup of coffee, and it was easy to use. The search worked well, and I found the book I was looking for faster than I expected. Checkout was simple too, which I appreciated because I didn’t feel like clicking through a bunch of extra pages. Everything loaded fine on my phone, and I didn’t run into any issues. The book came in looking clean and almost perfect, with no dents or messed up corners. I do wish the packaging had felt a little sturdier, since I was a bit worried when I saw it. Thankfully, everything was fine and the book itself arrived in great condition.

I’ve ordered from Books-A-Million a handful of times now, the delivery has been dependable. The tracking is simple enough to follow, and my books usually show up right around the date they give me, which you’d think would be standard, but apparently not everywhere can manage that.
There’s nothing super flashy about it, it just works. The packages have arrived in good shape too, with no bent covers or crushed corners so far. I’ll probably keep ordering from them when I need books shipped, since they haven’t given me a reason not to.

I ordered a few books from Books-A-Million it all went smoothly. The titles were right, the editions matched what I picked, and nothing was missing. Packaging was fine too, nothing fancy but it did the job. It was a simple order, but still... nice when it just shows up the way it’s supposed to.
